Whether you have a long history of acting, directing, producing, writing, singing, performing comedy, playing an instrument or just generally showing off, or if you are completely new to the idea but keen to explore any one of those aims, SLP (South London Players) aim to make sure that all our members enjoy, and get something positive from, the experience.

Membership is open to anyone aged 16 and over wishing to take an active role in our uniquely innovative amateur dramatic club, either on stage or behind the scenes. Although we have performed some great plays by well known writers, the majority of our recent productions have been written by SLP members, a number of which have been subsequently performed in other venues both in the UK and abroad. So the world is your proverbial oyster!

If back stage is your thing we would welcome you with open jazz hands. Whether you are a woodworker, a painter, a lighting or sound engineer or if you have a passion for marketing on or offline, your skills can definitely be put to good use.

And our social events are as important as our stage productions with quiz nights, karaoke, group visits to other shows locally and ‘up west’, and anything else that doesn’t involve getting electrocuted or arrested!
